SURRENDER LEAFLETS FOR THE ITALIAN ARMY IN RUSSIA 1942-1943 fascinating collection of all different printed propaganda surrender leaflets written in Italian, produced by the Russians and distributed between Italian soldiers fighting as allies of the Germans on the Eastern Front during the Second World War, housed in an album. The leaflets inform about Russian military successes and German & Italian losses, show 'a happy life' of Italian prisoners of war in Russian captivity, urge Italian soldiers & officers to surrender, ridicule Mussolini & Hitler etc. Some leaflets are illustrated, many are related to the Battle of Stalingrad where the majority of the Italian forces in Russia were destroyed.
