1841 cover from Barnard Castle to Darlington, franked Pl.10 JH, four margin example, tied red MC then re-addressed and sent on to London with another Pl.10 ME four margin example (tiny abrasion), well tied by a bold black MC & the original stamp JH crossed out in ink. Obverse bears Coatham Mundeville/Penny Post in black, reverse bears Barnard Castle despatch c.d.s for 17th Feb, Darlington receiver for Feb 18th & London receiver for 20th. Nice combination of red & black crosses on a re-directed cover.
