1942 registered cover to Washington DC franked 1d, 3d & 4d, tied oval Ascension d/stamps with purple 'CROWN/PASSED/XX' boxed censor h/stamp and resealed by 'P.C.90 OPENED BY/EXAMINER 3662' censor label, 2d (corner fault) on cover to Portsmouth bears s/line CENSORED in red, 3d black on cover to Swansea, reverse is censored by officer h/stamp 'Officer Commanding Troops' which he has also signed.
