Gedrite occurrences are restricted to metamorphic and me- tasomatic rocks.

It is a mineral belonging to the orthorhombic ferromagnesian subgroup of the amphibole supergroup of the double chain inosilicate minerals.
This specimen contains nice glossy black radiating sprays of Gedrite in rock.
